Anurag Thakur Claims Opposition is Hindering Parliamentary Sessions

New Delhi, Dec 11 (NationPress) BJP MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday accused the Opposition of consistently hindering Parliamentary sessions and suggested that they have connections with foreign entities to destabilize India's democracy.

Thakur made these comments while engaging in the BJP's Mera Booth Sabse Majboot campaign in Shahdara, Delhi, where he distributed stickers and flags to invigorate BJP supporters. During the event, he chanted the slogan 'Mera Booth Sabse Majboot' and reiterated the party's resolve to win in the forthcoming elections.

Targeting the Opposition, Thakur stated, 'The House fails to operate as soon as certain individuals arrive, consistently hindering proceedings. These are the same individuals who once championed democracy but are now reportedly receiving foreign funds to sap its strength.'

'Why do they wish to prevent the House from functioning? Why obstruct the voice of 140 crore Indians? Who is directing Congress in this manner? With whom does Congress maintain such affiliations?' the BJP MP inquired, hinting at the Gandhis while questioning the alleged foreign ties.

The former Union Minister also addressed the leadership conflict within the INDIA coalition, particularly following West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's interest in leading the alliance.

'This coalition consists of factions with opposing ideologies, united solely for the sake of power. Now that they cannot secure it, their true nature is being revealed. The public has turned its back on this corrupt assembly,' he remarked.

In response to reports of a late-night gathering at NCP chief Sharad Pawar's home discussing EVMs, Thakur commented, 'The public has dismissed their leadership. Now, they gather, share tea, and blame EVMs. In the United States, states like California take 18 days to tally votes, whereas in India, we process the votes of 90 crore individuals within hours. Our system is both robust and transparent.'
