The leader of Jana Sena emphasized that the NDA government, under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, made this decision as a sign of profound respect and appreciation for our courageous soldiers.
“The Panchayat Raj Department has made a landmark decision to provide property tax exemption to homes owned by members of the Indian Defence Forces within the limits of Gram Panchayats. This decision pays tribute to the unyielding bravery of our defence personnel in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Paramilitary, and CRPF, who dedicate their lives to safeguarding our nation,” remarked Pawan Kalyan.
The actor-turned-politician noted that previously, this exemption was applicable only to retired army members or those stationed at borders. “Today, we have taken a significant step forward. From now on, all currently active personnel of the Indian Defence Forces will qualify for this benefit, irrespective of their posting location. The exemption will be valid for one residence where they or their spouse live or jointly own,” he stated.
The Deputy Chief Minister explained that this decision was made following the recommendation of the Director of Sainik Welfare and stands as a symbol of Andhra Pradesh’s thankfulness towards these uniformed heroes. “Our government is steadfastly supportive of every soldier and their families. Their service is invaluable, and we must honor it in every conceivable manner,” he added.
On Sunday, Pawan Kalyan paid tribute to soldier Murali Naik, who lost his life due to cross-border fire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir during Operation Sindoor.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted Murali's journey from the tribal area of Gorantla, Kallithanda village in Sri Sathya Sai district to the frontlines of national defense as Agniveer, showcasing his determination and profound love for the country.
