Amaravati, March 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, expressed his excitement on Monday regarding the inauguration of the Araku Coffee stall within the Parliament grounds.

“Fantastic news for coffee lovers in Parliament! You can now savor a freshly brewed cup of Araku Coffee right here on the premises,” the Chief Minister shared on ‘X’.

Naidu, whose Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is allied with the BJP-led NDA government, extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting Araku Coffee during ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He also thanked Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for permitting the establishment of the stall.

“I sincerely thank everyone whose commitment and efforts made this achievement possible. It is a proud moment for all of us, particularly our tribal farmers, whose relentless dedication has elevated Araku Coffee to national recognition. As we relish each cup, let us also reflect on their inspiring journey!” the post stated.

The stall was inaugurated by Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, along with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister for Tribal Welfare Jual Oram, Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister G. Sandhya Rani, and state MPs.

“A proud moment as Araku Coffee is unveiled in Parliament today. This GI-tagged organic coffee from Andhra Pradesh represents the hard work and heritage of 150,000 tribal farmers from the Araku Valley. Their commitment has brought India’s finest coffee to the forefront,” Ram Mohan Naidu posted on X.

The Union Minister remarked that under the vision of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Naidu, GI products like Araku Coffee are finally receiving the recognition they deserve, empowering rural communities and enhancing India’s organic footprint on a global scale. It stands as a symbol of tribal empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and the agricultural excellence of Andhra Pradesh.

Last June, Chandrababu Naidu had expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for endorsing Araku Coffee during Mann Ki Baat.

PM Modi had highlighted that Araku coffee is cultivated extensively in Andhra Pradesh’s Allu Sitarama Raju district and is celebrated for its rich flavor and aroma. Approximately 150,000 tribal families are involved in Araku Coffee production.
