Amaravati, March 23 (NationPress) The delightful scent of world-renowned Araku Coffee is poised to fill the air in Parliament as two stalls are scheduled to open starting Monday.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has granted approval for the establishment of these stalls. Following this, Kulmohan Singh Arora, director of Lok Sabha Bhavan, issued directives permitting the Andhra Pradesh Girijan Cooperative Corporation Ltd to set up the outlets.
Officials from the Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) have already arrived in New Delhi to make arrangements for the launch of the Araku Coffee stalls. Minister for Tribal Welfare G. Sandhya Rani will travel to the national capital on Sunday evening to inaugurate the outlets.
In a move to promote coffee sourced from tribal origins, GCC officials have prepared special Araku Coffee gift packs for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and other dignitaries.
GCC officials stated that the introduction of these stalls within Parliament would significantly enhance the reputation of Araku Coffee, celebrated for its rich aroma.
Just last week, two Araku Coffee outlets were launched in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council.
Assembly Speaker C. Ayyanna Patrudu inaugurated a stall on Assembly grounds, while Legislative Council Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju opened another outlet on the Council's premises.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently expressed his ambition for Araku Coffee to achieve global brand recognition akin to that of Starbucks.
Speaking at a program in celebration of International Women’s Day, CM Naidu remarked that Araku Coffee, cultivated by tribal farmers, has already attained international acclaim.
In June of the previous year, CM Naidu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for endorsing Araku Coffee during his 'Mann Ki Baat' segment.
PM Modi acknowledged that Araku Coffee is cultivated extensively in Andhra Pradesh's Allu Sitarama Raju district, noted for its rich flavor and aroma. Approximately 1.5 lakh tribal families are involved in the cultivation of Araku Coffee.
In July, CM Naidu also conveyed his pleasure regarding an announcement by Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra about the forthcoming opening of a second cafe serving Araku Coffee in Paris.
