Bengaluru, Sep 15 (NationPress) On Monday, the Karnataka Police apprehended an individual accused of sexually harassing a female animal enthusiast within the jurisdiction of Amrutahalli police station in Bengaluru.

The suspect has been named as Manjunath. According to law enforcement officials, the incident transpired on September 7 at 11:50 p.m. The victim, a dedicated animal lover, promptly reported the incident. Taking the matter seriously, the police initiated a search for the perpetrator and managed to arrest him after tracking him down.

As per police reports, the victim, a young woman, witnessed a stray dog crying after being struck by a vehicle. She halted her car and rescued the injured dog from the roadside. The accused, who was riding by on a motorcycle, noticed her but left the scene.

While the victim was at a nearby petrol station cleaning her hands of the dog's blood, the accused approached her on his bike, made an inappropriate advance, and fled the scene. Afterward, the woman visited the Amrutahalli police station to file a complaint. In her statement, she detailed that the accused had touched her inappropriately and urged for legal action against him.

The police have officially registered a case of sexual harassment against Manjunath and are currently investigating further. More information is anticipated.

Previously, the Karnataka Police detained a man and his son following the circulation of CCTV footage showing a woman being sexually harassed in public in the Bengaluru Rural district on June 24. The suspects were identified as John Richard (23) and his father, Kanika Swamy.

In a separate incident on June 23, a woman was reportedly sexually harassed, assaulted, and verbally abused in plain view of the public near Bengaluru. This distressing event was captured by a CCTV camera.

The woman was out grocery shopping around 4 p.m. in Renuka Yellamma Layout near Mailasandra, approximately 12 km from Bengaluru, when a group of men obstructed her path. Footage indicated that the men followed her, attempting to engage and touch her. At one point, one of the men struck her as she attempted to escape.

Reports indicate that the men assaulted her when she resisted and fought back against the harassment. In the video, she can be seen trying to defend herself. Fortunately, she was rescued by local residents and a friend. However, the friend was subsequently arrested for assaulting one of the harassers. Shortly thereafter, the aggressors returned to the neighborhood, attacking those who had come to her aid.
