On November 6, while walking her dog in Upkar Layout, located in the Jnanabharati area, the victim was approached by the suspect who requested permission to pet her dog. Believing he was a fellow dog enthusiast, she allowed him to interact with her pet.
However, after petting the dog, the man suddenly engaged in inappropriate behavior towards her, as stated by the police, citing the woman's complaint.
Despite her attempts to fend him off, he made another attempt to assault her, prompting her to slap him.
During the struggle, her mobile device fell to the ground. Before onlookers could react, the suspect seized the phone and fled the scene.
The woman subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.
