In a separate post on X, Deputy Chief Minister Mein expressed his happiness in joining the Chief Minister to greet the Japanese delegation, deeming the interaction as significant and forward-thinking.

Earlier, Chief Minister Khandu visited Japan in October last year, where he conducted several meetings in Tokyo aimed at bolstering cultural and economic cooperation between India and Japan.
During this visit, he met with Yasutoshi Nishimura, a member of Japan's House of Representatives and Chairman of the Japan-India Parliamentary Friendship League, to discuss enhancing cultural ties and exploring development cooperation avenues.
Additionally, discussions were held with Toshiaki Nishikawa, the Chairman and CEO of ASEAN Group Co. Limited, who showed commitment to boosting the Indian workforce's presence in Japan via Japanese language learning and skill development initiatives.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister visited Sophia University and the Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park, showcasing opportunities for collaboration in higher education, technology, and disaster management.
