Guwahati, April 5 (NationPress) Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika on Sunday accused Congress leader Pawan Khera of improperly utilizing personal data allegedly obtained from a social media post, labeling it as part of a “deceptive AI initiative”.
In a message on X, Hazarika asserted that information concerning a “Golden Card” was extracted from a Facebook group where an individual had reported the loss of a wallet in Ajman, UAE. The initial post requested public assistance in retrieving essential documents, such as Emirates ID cards, car registration (malkia), and an ATM card, while indicating that the cash within was not significant.
According to Hazarika, Khera leveraged the details from this post to create a misleading online narrative. “What a disgrace,” the minister remarked, accusing Khera of orchestrating what he termed a coordinated misinformation effort under the hashtag #CongFAKEAICampaign.
The Facebook post from Ajman, which included contact numbers and images of identification documents, seemed solely aimed at soliciting public help.
Earlier, during a press conference in Delhi, Khera claimed that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, possesses passports from three nations — the UAE, Antigua, and Egypt — and alleged that certain overseas assets, including properties in Dubai, were not disclosed in official documents.
