Atishi Submits Nomination for Kalkaji Assembly Seat in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate representing the Kalkaji Assembly constituency, Atishi, has formally submitted her nomination papers today for the impending Assembly elections.
Before submitting her nomination, Chief Minister Atishi paid a visit to the Kalkaji Temple to offer her prayers and seek divine blessings.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Atishi shared her plans on X, stating, "Today, I will submit my nomination. First, I will visit the Kalkaji Temple to receive blessings from Kalka Mai. Afterward, I will pray at the Giri Nagar Gurudwara and commence the nomination rally. Over the past five years, I have experienced tremendous love from my Kalkaji family, and I am confident that their blessings will continue to support me."
In an effort to rally support for her campaign, CM Atishi initiated a crowdfunding campaign on Sunday, highlighting her party's dedication towards "politics of work and integrity."
During a press briefing, she provided a link for online donations and mentioned that she requires Rs 40 lakh to fund her election campaign.
"The AAP has consistently depended on modest contributions from everyday citizens to conduct elections, allowing us to maintain transparent and honest politics," CM Atishi affirmed.
She added that in the past five years, "your backing as an MLA, minister, and now as the Chief Minister of Delhi has been invaluable. This journey would not have been possible without your steadfast blessings and trust."
CM Atishi will be contending against BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and Alka Lamba from the Congress party in Kalkaji.
The elections for all 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly are set for February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.
The AAP, which scored a remarkable victory in 2015 by clinching 67 seats and maintained its dominance with 62 seats in 2020, is striving for a third consecutive term in Delhi.
On the other hand, the BJP, which won three seats in 2015 and increased its count to eight in 2020, aims to strengthen its presence. Conversely, the Congress has failed to regain a foothold in the Assembly, having been unable to secure any seats in the last two elections.
