Bhopal, Feb 24 (NationPress) On Tuesday, a comprehensive awareness program was held in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, organized by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department. This initiative aimed to educate PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries about the extensive advantages of the scheme.
The event featured a day-long series of activities where numerous beneficiaries, especially women, were equipped with essential training, toolkits, QR codes, and valuable insights into entrepreneurship, loans, and e-commerce.
Hosted at the District Panchayat Office, the program attracted a significant turnout of participants, including beneficiaries eager to learn and engage.
Beneficiaries received crucial information on various topics such as entrepreneurship, financial support, e-commerce, skill enhancement, marketing strategies, and loan application processes.
Srijan Verma, the CEO of the District Panchayat, motivated attendees to leverage government initiatives fully. Tool kits and training certificates were distributed through India Post.
Additionally, complimentary QR codes were handed out to the participants.
Approximately 200 beneficiaries and officials from different departments attended the event.
Women present at the program expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing exceptional schemes aimed at empowering women.
One beneficiary stated, "I have greatly benefited from the Vishwakarma Scheme, receiving training, a toolkit, and a certificate."
Several other beneficiaries also shared their gratitude towards the Modi government for implementing a welfare program specifically for the underprivileged and marginalized communities, highlighting their newfound independence.
Importantly, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana seeks to uplift the 'Vishwakarmas' by integrating them into the development mainstream and fostering self-reliance.
This initiative focuses on a crucial segment of the workforce engaged in the informal or unorganized sector, where artisans—known as Vishwakarma—skillfully work with their hands in trades such as blacksmithing, goldsmithing, pottery, carpentry, and sculpture.
These traditional skills are often inherited through generations, following the 'guru-shishya' mentorship model, which ensures the preservation of age-old crafts.
