Kolkata, April 6 (NationPress) Trinamool Congress's general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, conducted a public gathering in Jalangi, located in the Murshidabad district, where he launched a vehement critique against the opposition parties, namely Congress and CPI-M.
While endorsing Trinamool's candidate, Babar Ali, for the Jalangi Assembly seat, Banerjee asserted: "Our candidate embodies transparency and commitment." He cautioned voters, labeling CPI-M and Congress as the 'B-team of the BJP.'
Simultaneously criticizing both parties, he remarked: "CPI-M is outdated, and voting for Congress equates to indirectly supporting the BJP. For the sake of development, choose our party symbol and ensure Trinamool Congress's victory."
Banerjee further targeted opposition figures Mustafizur Rahman and Yunus Ali Sarkar, claiming that CPI-M's candidate, Mustafizur Rahman, faced rejection from his own party leaders.
"Mustafizur Rahman, or Rana Babu, is not recognized by his own party. In 2021, he lost by nearly 48,000 votes. Don't waste your votes on that party. Our candidate has a pristine reputation. Born in 1993, he has dedicated himself to educating children and has established tuition-free schools, working tirelessly for educational advancement across Bengal, including Murshidabad," Banerjee stated.
Challenging CPI-M, he said: "If CPI-M claims to possess power, let them demonstrate how many roads they constructed in Domkal or Jalangi over 34 years, or how many villages were electrified? Come forward with facts and statistics. On one side lies Mamata Banerjee's 15 years of development, on the other, the failures of CPI-M and Congress. If they can provide accurate data, I won’t need to seek votes. I will defeat them 10-0 and eject them from the field."
Banerjee also launched a fierce critique against the BJP, stating: "It's time to hold accountable those who have withheld your wages for the 100 days of work and housing schemes. Under BJP rule, citizens lack rights; only Mamata Banerjee stands up for you in the Supreme Court."
He reassured individuals whose names were removed from the Bengal electoral rolls post-SIR exercise, saying: "Those whose names were unjustly taken off the list need not worry. Reach out to our representatives; we are arranging appeals to the tribunal. No one else is advocating for the rights of the people in a BJP-governed state; only Mamata Banerjee is fighting in the Supreme Court," he concluded.
