Kolkata, April 6 (NationPress) Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee conducted a public gathering in Jalangi, located in the Murshidabad district on Monday, where he launched a fierce critique against the Congress and CPI(M).

While endorsing Trinamool candidate Babar Ali in the Jalangi Assembly constituency, Abhishek stated, "Our candidate is exceptionally open and committed." He cautioned voters by labeling CPI(M) and Congress as the 'B-team of the BJP'.

Simultaneously assaulting both CPI(M) and Congress, he remarked, "CPI(M) belongs to the past, and casting a vote for Congress is akin to indirectly supporting the BJP. To foster development, choose our party symbol and help Trinamool Congress secure victory."

Continuing his attack, he criticized the opposition candidates Mustafizur Rahman and Yunus Ali Sarkar. He pointed out that CPI(M) candidate Mustafizur Rahman was even rejected by his own party members.

"Mustafizur Rahman, known as Rana Babu, has no backing from his party leaders. He faced a defeat of around 48,000 votes in 2021. Don’t squander your votes on that party. Our candidate has an unblemished reputation. Born in 1993, he began teaching children and created schools that do not charge tuition fees. He has worked selflessly for the advancement of education and the welfare of people across various regions in Bengal, including Murshidabad," stated Banerjee.

Challenging CPI(M), he asserted, "If CPI(M) claims to be powerful, let them demonstrate - how many roads did they construct in Domkal or Jalangi over 34 years? How many villages received electricity or water pumps? Present us with facts and figures. On one side stands Mamata Banerjee's 15 years of progress, and on the other, the failures of CPI(M) and Congress. If they can provide accurate information, I will not need to ask for votes. I will defeat them 10-0 and banish them from the field."

In a robust statement against the BJP, Abhishek declared, "It’s time to hold accountable those who have withheld your 100 days’ work funds and housing scheme payments. Under BJP rule, the people have no rights; only Mamata Banerjee is advocating for you in the Supreme Court."

Abhishek also reassured individuals whose names were removed from Bengal's electoral rolls following the SIR exercise.

"Those whose names have been unjustly taken off the list should not be alarmed. Reach out to our representatives; we are organizing appeals to the tribunal. In a BJP-ruled state, no one has fought for the people's rights; only Mamata Banerjee is standing up for you in the Supreme Court," he added.
