Patna, April 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, convened a Cabinet meeting on Friday, where 34 initiatives were sanctioned.
A significant decision made was the termination of Vijay Kumar, the former Executive Officer of Barbidha, and Raman Rai, previously the Circle Officer of Sikta Zone (West Champaran) and currently serving as the Assistant Settlement Officer in Kishanganj, due to administrative and disciplinary issues.
The Cabinet also endorsed 663 non-technical positions across 71 offices of the Integrated Urban Engineering Organisation under the Urban Development Department.
These positions aim to facilitate seamless operations and will incur an annual cost of Rs 35.27 crore to the government.
The Cabinet has approved the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Amendment Rules, 2025, which could influence land and revenue management.
Additionally, approval was granted for 40 new roles in the Advocate General’s Office, comprising 34 permanent and 6 contractual positions.
The Dynamic Assured Career Progression for dentists has been retroactively sanctioned from April 1, 2017, providing financial and career advancement benefits.
