Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to Make Significant Decisions in Today's Cabinet Meeting

Patna, Dec 3 (NationPress) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has convened a cabinet meeting on Tuesday aimed at addressing vital decisions.
The meeting has been rescheduled to 12:05 p.m., creating considerable anticipation. Initially planned for 4:00 p.m., this change in timing underscores the significance of the agenda, which is anticipated to tackle essential matters, particularly those concerning jobs and employment.
With Nitish Kumar's ambitious goal of providing seven lakh jobs before the 2025 Assembly elections, and with five lakh government positions already filled, the focus will likely be on strategic decisions aimed at fulfilling the promise to recruit the remaining positions.
The Chief Secretary's office has been assigned the task of evaluating departmental vacancies to facilitate the process, and this preparation could lead to crucial announcements during the meeting.
This meeting is further heightened in importance as it follows the winter session of the Assembly. The cabinet meeting had been postponed last week due to this winter session.
Consequently, the approval of various key agendas, particularly those related to employment, is anticipated. Observers will be closely monitoring to see if this meeting signifies a turning point in the state government’s employment initiatives, potentially impacting Bihar’s socio-economic landscape ahead of the 2025 elections.
In the last cabinet meeting, the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government approved nine significant proposals across various departments.
Among these, over Rs 56 crore was sanctioned for the construction of a minority residential school with a capacity for 560 students in Masaurhi, Patna district.
An additional amount exceeding Rs 50 crore was approved for a similar residential school in Chanpatia block within West Champaran district. Both of these projects fall under the Bihar State Minority Residential School Scheme.
The Bihar government also sanctioned the Minority Welfare Department to utilize services from the 'Jeevika' Scheme to provide food and refreshments for students residing in Bihar State Minority Residential Schools, in accordance with the conditions and rates established by the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department's resolution dated September 13, 2023.
