Patna, Sep 5 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday engaged with party workers during a dialogue program in Sikariya village of Paliganj block, Patna district, receiving a heartfelt reception. Encouraging the workers to prepare for the forthcoming Assembly elections, he asserted that his administration has already created 10 lakh government jobs and 39 lakh employment opportunities for the youth since 2020, with projections to exceed 50 lakh before the 2025 Bihar Assembly election.
He announced a fresh target of 1 crore jobs in the next five years.
The Chief Minister noted that since the establishment of the NDA government in November 2005, Bihar has experienced significant advancements in law and order, education, health, infrastructure, and rural development.
While discussing the Social Security Pension, he revealed an increase from Rs 400 to Rs 1100, benefiting 1.12 crore elderly individuals, disabled persons, and widows in the state.
He emphasized nearly free electricity for all residential consumers and the installation of solar panels for interested households.
Under the recently launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, starting September, each household will receive Rs 10,000 for self-employment, with up to Rs 2 lakh available for successful businesses.
Additionally, he announced free land and incentives for industrialists to encourage new industries in Bihar.
Nitish Kumar acknowledged the Central government's substantial financial support in recent budgets, covering areas such as roads, flood management, industry, health, and tourism.
He highlighted special funding for the Makhana Board, Western Kosi Canal, and the establishment of new airports in Bihar.
The CM also listed key development initiatives in Patna district, including national institutions like IIT-Patna and NIT, expansion of medical colleges and specialty hospitals. Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) is being transformed into a 5,462-bed world-class facility, with IGIMS expanding to 3,000 beds and NMCH to 2,500 beds.
Nitish Kumar expressed pride in Bihar hosting the Khelo India Youth Games for the first time, recognizing Bihar's increasing significance on the national stage.
He concluded by urging workers to share the government’s message of development and welfare with the public. “Bihar is advancing with the full backing of the Centre, and we are dedicated to maintaining this growth momentum,” he asserted.
