The state cabinet has authorized a scheme worth Rs 33.29 crore for developing a 220 KV DC transmission line to provide reliable and quality power supply to the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) located in Gaya, managed by the Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited.
Additionally, the reorganization and establishment of 694 posts within the Agriculture Department have been approved.
This includes 534 positions for Plant Protection Supervisors and 160 positions for Plant Protection Inspectors, achieved by surrendering/repatriating 293 sanctioned posts across various roles, while creating an additional 293 posts within the Bihar Agriculture Subordinate Service (Category-05 – Plant Protection) cadre.
The cabinet has also sanctioned the temporary establishment of one ex-cadre position for a Forest and Environment Advisor for a duration of three years.
This role will be filled on a contract basis by a retired officer from the Indian Forest Service or Bihar Forest Service to expedite the resolution of forest and environmental issues and ensure timely project implementation.
Approval was also granted for the identification and reorganization of 200 sanctioned posts in the office attendant cadre under the Directorate of Fisheries, which operates under the Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department, in line with the Bihar Office Attendant/Attendant (Special) Recruitment and Service Conditions Rules, 2023.
In a notable advancement, the cabinet approved the “Bihar Anand Karaj Marriage Registration Rules, 2025,” facilitating the registration of marriages conducted following the Anand Karaj tradition under the Anand Marriage Act, 1909.
In the transport sector, the cabinet sanctioned an amendment to Rule 30 (1)(iv) of the Bihar Motor Vehicle Rules, 1992, reducing the minimum educational qualification for obtaining a Conductor License from Class 10 to Class 8.
From the Building Construction department, a budget of Rs 314.20 crore was approved for the construction of Bihar Bhawan in Mumbai.
