Significant Job and Welfare Announcements Anticipated in Nitish Kumar's Cabinet Meeting Today

Patna, Dec 19 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will preside over a cabinet meeting this Thursday at 5 p.m., ahead of his planned Pragati Yatra starting on December 23.

This meeting, occurring after a two-week interval, has heightened expectations for several crucial decisions, particularly concerning employment, job opportunities, or the introduction of new welfare schemes. The timing is particularly significant, especially following the opposition's pledge of the 'Mai-Behan Maan Yojana' by Tejashwi Yadav, who promises to provide Rs 2500 monthly, thus setting the stage for potential counter-announcements.

It is anticipated that Nitish Kumar may unveil substantial initiatives to counter Tejashwi Yadav's promise.

Originally scheduled for December 20, the cabinet meeting has been moved up to December 19. It will take place in the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Secretariat.

The public is keenly awaiting that this meeting will focus on new proposals concerning employment opportunities, welfare programs, possibly in response to the opposition's initiatives, and more.

The Cabinet Secretariat Department has already issued instructions to relevant officials and departments, underscoring the significance of the decisions made today.

The outcomes of today's cabinet meeting will play a pivotal role in shaping Nitish Kumar's Pragati Yatra and could have lasting effects on the political and developmental landscape of the state.

In the previous cabinet meeting held on December 13, several key decisions were made addressing critical issues and developmental objectives, including the government's extension of the land survey period by six months to tackle public concerns.

Through this process, citizens were afforded 180 days for self-declaration, alongside 60 days for landholder claims and another 60 days for claim resolutions.

The Bihar government also approved the allocation of 1.60 acres of land from the Bihar State Housing Board in Kankarbagh, Patna, to the Health Department for the establishment of the Sankara Eye Foundation's Super Special Eye Hospital. The land, valued at Rs 48 crore, was transferred to the hospital under a 99-year lease.
