Bihar: EOU Releases Important Advisory for 70th BPSC Combined PT Examination

Patna, December 9 (NationPress) The Bihar Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) has released an important advisory concerning the 70th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination organized by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) set for December 13.

The advisory is designed to combat misinformation and warn candidates about possible fraud, paper leaks, and disruptions.

The EOU has verified that the exam will proceed as scheduled and has dismissed rumors regarding its cancellation that are circulating on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X.

“Cyber fraudsters and malicious individuals may try to disseminate misinformation or interfere with the examination process. There is a risk of fraudulent activities, including scams that promise leaked question papers, answer keys, or job guarantees for a fee,” an official stated.

The EOU has urged candidates to refrain from engaging with or believing unverified claims about the exam on social media or through unsolicited calls and messages.

Additionally, it has advised candidates to remain alert against scams that promise unfair advantages in the examination process.

“Candidates should depend exclusively on official notifications and communications from the BPSC. Any suspicious behavior or rumors should be reported to the authorities immediately,” the advisory noted.

The Bihar Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) has provided further guidelines to ensure the safety and security of candidates.

“If you receive fraudulent calls, emails, or social media messages offering leaked question papers or answer keys for money, do not engage. The EOU also requests candidates to notify the nearest police station or cyber police station immediately,” the official added.

Furthermore, candidates are advised to avoid sharing rumors or unverified information related to the examination in groups or on social media.

The EOU has also made available a contact number and WhatsApp number 8544428404, along with emails spcyber-bih@gov.in and cybercell-bih@nic.in, in addition to the Cyber Fraud Helpline number 1930.

“Authorities will promptly investigate any reported incidents, ensuring that offenders are held accountable. Candidates should rely solely on official BPSC communications for updates and avoid engaging in discussions fueled by rumors or misinformation,” the EOU concluded.
