Patna, Feb 27 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assigned departments to seven newly appointed ministers in his cabinet on Thursday. Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Sunil Kumar and Information Technology Minister Krishna Kumar Mantoo met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The ministers expressed that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is not fulfilling his duties as the opposition leader.

Krishna Kumar Mantoo stated: "In the upcoming 2025 elections, the NDA will secure a two-thirds majority, and Nitish Kumar will lead the government in Bihar once more."

Nitish Kumar shares a similar perspective regarding the NDA's performance in the forthcoming elections.

Following his meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Sunil Kumar mentioned that their discussion was routine. "I visited to seek the Chief Minister's blessings. He is also from Nalanda district," Kumar noted.

He added, "The department assigned to me has already made significant progress. Many regions in Bihar have benefited from initiatives related to forests and the environment. We discussed the department, and I shared several insights."

Regarding the Chief Minister’s ambitious 'Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan', Sunil Kumar confirmed that work will commence. "Currently, I have not officially taken charge of the department. I will formally assume office on Friday," he stated.

Meanwhile, after being appointed as a minister, Krishna Kumar Mantoo met with Nitish Kumar. After their discussion, he addressed the press, expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for entrusting him with a crucial department, which the Chief Minister had previously managed.

He remarked: "Whether at the Central or state level, efforts are underway to educate and empower youth. This department plays a vital role in guiding the youth. We will strive to create an environment where they can find jobs in Bihar or travel out and bring honor to the state."

In a jab at the opposition, Mantoo said, "They merely talk, while we take action. Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, is not fulfilling his responsibilities adequately." He further emphasized, "In the 2025 elections, the NDA will secure a two-thirds majority, and Nitish Kumar will lead the government in Bihar again."
