Bihar: The PM-KISAN Initiative Becomes Essential for Farmers in Rohtas

Patna, Dec 3 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) initiative, offering financial support of Rs 6,000 to farmers each year, has become an essential resource for farmers in Rohtas district, Bihar.
Numerous farmers who are recipients of the PM-KISAN program express their gratitude and commend the Modi government for implementing farmer-centric initiatives.
A few of them shared their experiences with IANS, highlighting the scheme’s influence on their everyday lives.
Jitendra Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Babhni village in the Karghar block of Rohtas, remarked, "Coming from a farming family, agriculture is my primary source of income. In the past, we didn’t have sufficient support. Today, receiving Rs 6,000 annually significantly aids us. The farming community consistently requires funds during the sowing season."
"I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for considering the farmers' needs. I cultivate crops in both Sasaram and Kaimur districts. The funds from PM-KISAN are utilized for farming activities in both areas," he added.
He further praised the Prime Minister, stating, "This is a commendable initiative. A heartfelt thank you to PM Modi."
Another farmer, Saroj Kumar Pankaj, mentioned, "As a resident of Rohtas, many individuals like myself are reaping the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Yojana from the central government."
"The funds distributed under PM-KISAN arrive at a crucial time, coinciding with either the harvesting or sowing period. This is when financial assistance is most required. These periods are particularly challenging for farmers. The timely support from this scheme is invaluable," he stated.
It is important to note that the PM-KISAN program is a central government initiative fully funded by the government, with funds being directly credited to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
