Bihar: Vice President Dhankhar to Lead MGCU Convocation as Chief Guest

Patna, Dec 4 (NationPress) The second convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) in Motihari will be honored by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar as the chief guest on December 7.

The ceremony, taking place at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium, will feature the awarding of 433 degrees, along with special gold medals for 11 exceptional students.

As stated by MGCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice President Dhankhar has graciously accepted the invitation to be present at the event, which will occur at the university's Chanakya campus in Motihari.

"The university's second convocation will take place in Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium on December 7. Upon being contacted about the event, the Vice President readily accepted the invitation to serve as the chief guest," Srivastava mentioned.

During the ceremony, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will deliver the keynote address and present the awards.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and local MP Radha Mohan Singh, a former Union Minister, will attend as special guests. Chancellor Padmashri Mahesh Sharma will oversee the event.

"A total of 433 degrees will be conferred. For the first time, 47 PhD degrees will be awarded by the university. The Vice President will present 11 special gold medals, 26 Vice Chancellor’s medals, and 3 Chancellor’s medals for academic distinction, recognizing 40 meritorious students in total," Srivastava added.

Chairman of the convocation coordination committee, Prof. Prasun Dutt Singh, highlighted the significance of timely convocations, noting that MGCU has successfully organized its second convocation within a year.
