New Delhi, Nov 15 (NationPress) Commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the NDA's significant success in Bihar, the BJP on Saturday took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, interpreting the election outcome as the youth of the state rejecting immature mascots clad in T-shirts during winter, performing push-ups in the rain, and jumping into fishing ponds.
BJP leader Amit Malviya, without directly referencing Gandhi, remarked on X, "In this election, the youth have rendered a verdict that goes beyond mere theatrics. They have opted for performance over pretense, substance over stunts, and leadership over gimmickry."
He emphasized, "They are not influenced by immature mascots whose so-called accomplishments include jiving on bridges, striking poses on motorcycles, donning T-shirts in winter, winking at cameras, blowing kisses, flaunting abs, performing push-ups in the rain, or jumping into fishing ponds for sensational photo opportunities."
Highlighting the youthful demographic of Bihar, Malviya stated that the NDA's victory signifies the voice of a young, ambitious India."
"These young Indians have placed their faith in the vision and execution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he added.
In his role as head of the BJP's National Information and Technology Cell, Malviya stated on X, "Bihar has articulated its stance—loudly, clearly, and unequivocally."
He continued, "The triumph in Bihar is not only decisive but also profoundly important, emerging from one of India’s youngest states. Nearly 40 percent of Bihar's 128 million residents are under eighteen, and an additional 23 percent fall within the eighteen to twenty-nine age bracket. This represents the voice of a young, ambitious India—clear, confident, and resolute in its leadership choice."
"Bihar has articulated its stance—loudly, clearly, and unequivocally," he reiterated.
Malviya also commented on the controversies that arose during the Bihar election campaign.
"The Bihar results have sparked renewed discussions concerning women voters. The Congress-RJD alliance not only pulled the Prime Minister's mother into political mudslinging during the campaign, but their supporters are now disparaging the women of Bihar as having compromised their integrity," Malviya remarked.
"Isn’t it appalling that anyone would claim the NDA government hasn’t empowered millions of women by granting them financial independence and transforming them into micro-entrepreneurs?" he questioned.
"If simply 'putting money in people's hands' guaranteed victory, then KCR in Telangana and Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh would never have faced defeat. Both administrations depleted state resources before elections. No one raised objections then. No one protested when Congress distributed 'guarantee cards' pledging Rs1 lakh per year to every impoverished woman before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which they ultimately lost. Unlike in Bihar, their handouts were mere doles, not part of any asset-building or income-generating initiative," Malviya explained.
In Bihar, numerous stories emerged of women acquiring goats, sewing machines, launching food stalls, grocery stores, and small food-processing units—all grounded in genuine empowerment, the BJP leader noted.
The NDA achieved a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, securing 202 seats out of 243, while the Mahagathbandhan, led by Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, managed to win just 35 seats.
