BJP Challenges CM Vijayan's Claims, Ready for Government in Kerala

Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has responded strongly to the recent comments made by Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, asserting that his remarks indicate a growing unease as the BJP's popularity rises in the state.
This reaction follows Vijayan's assertions that the BJP lacks viability in Kerala and his claims that the party acts as a "B-team" for the Congress.
BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain stated during an interview with IANS, "The Kerala Chief Minister is making such remarks because he senses the BJP's impending success. The Bharatiya Janata Party is poised to capture this seat. Both Congress and the Left parties are anxious since our party triumphed in the Mayoral elections in Thiruvananthapuram."
"The citizens of Kerala have made their decision to elect a BJP-led government," he asserted.
Adding to the criticism, Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav expressed that the BJP is determined to extend its reach beyond its historical bases.
"A BJP government will be established everywhere—whether in Kerala, Bengal, or Tamil Nadu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made remarkable contributions to progress and development in these states. The electorate will reject parties that fail to act and will choose the BJP to lead," he noted.
In a rebuttal to Chief Minister Vijayan, Andhra Pradesh BJP Minority Morcha President Syed Bhasha remarked that the party is gaining traction among various communities.
"The Chief Minister claims there is no possibility of the BJP forming a government in Kerala. Since the BJP-allied administration took charge in Andhra Pradesh, the state has experienced significant advancements. Minority and Christian communities are prepared to back the BJP," he stated.
"We are confident that we will secure the majority of seats in Kerala. Development is synonymous with PM Modi, and PM Modi signifies development. We will establish a government in Kerala this time," he concluded.
Meanwhile, elections for the Kerala Legislative Assembly are slated for April 9, where 140 members will be elected in a single phase across all constituencies in the state.
