Chennai, Dec 15 (NationPress) As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections draw near, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its organizational efforts by designating senior Union Ministers to oversee the election in charge and co-in-charge roles for the State.

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has unveiled a new leadership team aimed at guiding the party’s campaign and coordination for the upcoming elections.

Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, has been appointed as the election in charge for Tamil Nadu. Joining him as election co-in-charges are Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and Muralidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation.

These appointments are effective immediately.

According to party sources, this move signifies the BJP high command’s aim to fortify its electoral strategy in Tamil Nadu by placing seasoned leaders with robust administrative and organizational backgrounds in key positions.

Goyal, a prominent figure with extensive experience in navigating complex political and organizational challenges, is anticipated to play a pivotal role in fostering communication between the central leadership and the State unit, while also managing booth-level mobilization, alliance dynamics, and campaign messaging.

The BJP has been diligently working to enhance its presence in Tamil Nadu, a region traditionally led by Dravidian parties.

In recent years, the party has aimed to establish itself as a viable political alternative by concentrating on themes like development, governance, nationalism, and welfare services, while also capitalizing on its influence at the central level.

Alliance dynamics will be crucial in the upcoming elections.

The BJP is currently part of the AIADMK-led coalition, with ongoing discussions about seat-sharing arrangements and potential collaborations with smaller regional parties.

Political analysts observe that the BJP leadership is eager to consolidate anti-DMK votes and enhance its seat count by improving coordination with its allies and refining its campaign messaging.
