BJP Blames Congress for Longstanding Neglect of Marginalized Groups Over Four Generations

New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has charged the Congress with ongoing neglect of marginalized communities spanning four generations and undermining the Constitution.
In a fierce critique of the INDIA bloc, Chugh asserted that successive Congress leaders have disrespected Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and ignored the rights of marginalized groups.
“Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and now Rahul Gandhi have consistently overlooked the challenges faced by Dalits, Scheduled Tribes, and other underprivileged communities,” he remarked.
“Rahul Gandhi has continuously committed injustices against the rights of these communities over four generations. They have shown disrespect towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and this nation will never forgive such actions. The public will not overlook the transgressions they have made,” he added.
Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of J&K, criticized the dual governance model in the region. In response, Chugh remarked that Abdullah should recognize the nation's governance is based on the Constitution.
“You have deprived Dalits of their entitlements, seized the rights of the Valmiki community, and denied the Gujjar-Bakarwal community their rights. The INDIA bloc, including the National Conference and Congress, have conspired to take away reservations,” he stated.
Abdullah demanded a return to statehood, asserting that “a dual power center model is not viable.” Referring to the contentious governance in Delhi, he described the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir as unfeasible and called on the central government to fulfill its promise of restoring statehood.
J&K was restructured into a Union Territory in August 2019 through an Act of Parliament after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, which had previously granted the state special powers and status.
