Ranchi, May 14 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a Tiranga Yatra in Ranchi on Wednesday, led by Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, to honor the Indian Army’s accomplishments in ‘Operation Sindoor’ and to reaffirm their commitment to combating terrorism.
The march commenced at Shaheed Chowk and concluded at the Samadhi Sthal of the revered freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Kokar.
During the procession, participants chanted patriotic slogans like 'Jai Hind' and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ while expressing their staunch opposition to terrorism.
A significant turnout of BJP leaders, activists, and local citizens joined the event, including BJP state President Babulal Marandi, acting state president Ravindra Ray, and Ranchi MLA and former Minister C.P. Singh.
In his address, Sanjay Seth emphasized that the yatra was not a political gathering but rather a heartfelt expression of patriotism.
“Today, citizens across villages and panchayats are honoring the Indian Army with Tiranga Yatras,” he stated.
Praising the Army’s valor in ‘Operation Sindoor’, Seth asserted that Indian forces successfully neutralized critical terrorist infrastructures and dismantled 11 Pakistani airbases that were supporting terrorism.
“The entire nation — 140 crore Indians — is proud of the Indian military for striking deep into Pakistan and delivering a decisive blow to terror,” he remarked.
Seth also expressed gratitude towards the international community for their backing, particularly highlighting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s support for India in the fight against terrorism.
Ranchi MLA C.P. Singh noted that the yatra exemplified the public’s profound respect for the Army’s bravery and sacrifices.
“Citizens are coming out in large numbers to show their gratitude to our soldiers,” he observed.
Upcoming Tiranga Yatras are scheduled across Jharkhand under the banner of Citizens for National Security, with events planned in all divisional headquarters on May 15, district headquarters on May 16, and throughout subdivisions on May 19 and 20.
