New Delhi, March 7 (NationPress) Criticizing the politics of appeasement, BJP leader Amit Malviya on Friday challenged Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to meet and extend their sympathies to a Dalit minor who suffered from a brutal gang-rape incident attributed to 'Islamic Jihad' while being held captive for two months in Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi, who leads the new Muslim League, will not visit Moradabad to meet this Dalit family because the culprits are Salman, Zubair, Rashid, and Arif,” Malviya, who heads the BJP's National Information & Technology Department, stated in a post shared on the social media platform X.

In a sharp rebuke of politicians who exhibit leniency towards offenders from specific communities, Malviya remarked, in Hindi, “Akhilesh Yadav, the newest admirer of Aurangzeb and the one who criticized the Maha Kumbh, appears to have fallen silent.”

According to Superintendent of Police Kunwar Akash Singh, three suspects, including the principal offender, have been apprehended since the case was uncovered on March 3.

Malviya shared a segment of the FIR filed based on the victim's complaint at Bhagatpur police station, indicating that the victim had been threatened against reporting the crime, with warnings that her uncle and brother would be killed and she and her aunt would be abducted.

“It was also indicated that they receive substantial sums for Islamic Jihad,” Malviya added, noting claims of numerous Hindu girls being converted to Islam.

Calling for a thorough investigation and swift justice for the minor Dalit girl, Malviya stated, “This entire incident must be scrutinized, and in addition to ensuring justice for the minor, this malignant mindset proliferating in society must be eradicated.”

According to the FIR excerpt shared by Malviya, the principal accused, Salman, boasted to the victim about converting many women to Islam.

The report also detailed that the culprits used acid to remove a tattoo representing a Hindu God from her hand and frequently threatened to use the corrosive substance to disfigure her face.

“After enduring sexual exploitation for two months, Salman abandoned me in Bhojpur,” the victim recounted in the FIR.

In the meantime, SP Kunwar Akash Singh reported that police received information about the incident on March 3, promptly registering a case.

“Of the four suspects named in the FIR, the primary offender was arrested on Friday, along with two additional suspects,” he confirmed.
