BJP Criticizes Congress for Misrepresented Indian Map in Belagavi Displays

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) With the Congress Working Committee (CWC) convening its session, the BJP has ramped up its criticism of Congress concerning the controversial banners seen in Belagavi, Karnataka.

The banners displayed a distorted map of India, igniting public outrage for excluding regions of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin, which were noticeably absent from the welcome flexes at the city’s entrance.

During a press briefing on Thursday, BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi accused the Congress party of engaging in divisive politics.

"At the Belagavi event organized by Congress, posters were released showing a distorted map that omitted PoK and Aksai Chin. Such incidents have occurred before, with tweets featuring these maps being deleted," stated Trivedi.

"This map, associated with Mahatma Gandhi's image, represents a twisted view of India for which heroes like Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Rani Lakshmibai, and the sons of Guru Gobind Singh made great sacrifices."

Trivedi further criticized Congress, asserting that their behavior resonates with anti-India elements who harbor aspirations to dismantle the nation.

He highlighted that well-known figures such as DMK leaders, senior leader Shashi Tharoor, and Rahul Gandhi have previously shared similar images on social media. He also recalled an earlier instance where a map of India had overlooked Assam, raising his concerns about Congress' true motives.

"Why does Congress keep erasing parts of India from its posts?" Trivedi questioned, insinuating that it might be part of a wider scheme.

"Is this being orchestrated by George Soros? Or some anti-India group?"

Continuing his denunciation, Trivedi accused Congress of trying to erode India's unity and plotting a return to power through such divisive strategies.

He promised, however, that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, these schemes would ultimately fail.

Trivedi also expressed his wishes on Veer Baal Diwas, which was being celebrated that Thursday.

"As the nation commemorates Veer Baal Diwas, a representation of India's valor, this unsettling incident has emerged," Trivedi concluded, emphasizing the stark contrast between national pride and Congress' controversial maneuvers.

Meanwhile, the CWC is engaged in a two-day program on December 26 and 27 in Belagavi to celebrate the centenary of the 1924 Indian National Congress session presided over by Mahatma Gandhi. This was the only Congress session led by Gandhi. The event will see attendance from Congress MPs Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
