Patna, July 14 (NationPress) In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Motihari, Bihar on July 18, the BJP's state president Dilip Jaiswal along with Health Minister Mangal Pandey conducted a thorough review of the preparations at the event site.
Following their assessment and an encouraging discussion with party volunteers, they spoke to the press in Motihari.
Jaiswal stated: “The event in Motihari is set to be the largest and most significant rally in the area so far. We anticipate over 300,000 attendees.”
“This is Modi’s guarantee,” he underscored.
In response to comments made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding journalists, Jaiswal expressed strong disapproval.
“His remarks are an affront to journalists and to all of Bihar. Journalists, who are the fourth pillar of democracy, labor diligently with limited resources and should never be disrespected,” Jaiswal articulated.
Yadav, while answering a reporter's question on Sunday, accused the Election Commission of “fabricating news using unnamed sources to mask its failures,” derogatorily referring to such sources as “urine,” and added, “Urine symbolizes waste that emits a foul odor.”
Bihar’s Health Minister, Mangal Pandey, noted that this marks PM Modi’s sixth visit to Motihari during his 11-year term.
“This demonstrates PM Modi’s profound connection to Bihar and Motihari,” Pandey remarked.
He criticized the Congress party, stating: “A Congress Prime Minister held office for a decade but did not visit Bihar even six times, let alone the individual districts.”
PM Modi's visit on July 18 is anticipated to be pivotal for invigorating BJP members and fortifying the NDA's influence in northern Bihar as the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approach.
The visit is expected to include the launch and assessment of various development initiatives, focusing on Modi's guarantees and the double-engine growth narrative, while also addressing opposition concerns related to governance, law and order, and voter confidence.
BJP leaders are currently engaged in district-level outreach, booth organization, and collecting feedback as the rally date approaches.
