Agartala, Oct 19 (NationPress) In a significant turn of events, the ruling BJP issued a show-cause notice to its current MLA, Tafajjal Hossain, for his critical remarks directed towards former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and former Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik. The notice indicated that disciplinary measures would follow if Hossain's response was deemed unsatisfactory. During a football match in the Boxanagar area of Sepahijala district on Saturday, Hossain criticized both Deb and Bhoumik for their failure to allocate funds for a playground gallery.
“We supported Pratima Bhoumik and Biplab Kumar Deb in their Lok Sabha elections. When I sought their assistance for funding the gallery, there was no response. However, Rajib Bhattacharjee promptly approved ₹50 lakh from his MPLAD fund,” the 51-year-old legislator stated.
