New Delhi, March 3 (NationPress) Senior BJP leader Satish Poonia expressed deep sadness over the tragic murder of Congress worker Himani Narwal, labeling the incident in Haryana as 'regrettable.' While extending his condolences, he also addressed the serious allegations made by Himani's mother, which have ignited controversy and raised concerns about the Congress party's actions.
In a statement to IANS, Poonia noted, 'The murder in Haryana is genuinely distressing, and the government is undertaking necessary measures to maintain law and order to prevent such occurrences in the future. Nonetheless, the accusations put forth by Himani’s mother are rather grave and have once again questioned the integrity of the Congress party. Similar issues have arisen in various incidents nationwide concerning Congress. These allegations are sensational, and it is imperative for Congress to confront them transparently in front of the public. While Congress leaders quickly criticize the government, the concerns of Himani's mother remain unaddressed.'
Savita, the mother of the deceased Congress worker, stated, 'I am convinced that the offender is someone familiar, possibly either a party member, a college acquaintance, or a relative. Only someone like that could have accessed our home... I believe someone attempted to harm her, and she resisted, which led to this tragedy.'
Poonia also commented on recent remarks made by Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed concerning Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma.
'Such statements are meant for fleeting fame,' he said, denouncing the comments as ridiculous.
'Under Rohit Sharma's leadership, the Indian cricket team lifted the World Cup, and they are performing remarkably. Congress should avoid making unfounded claims that tarnish our sports heroes.'
