New Delhi, Feb 2 (NationPress) The Delhi BJP on Sunday unveiled its fifth campaign anthem, "Dilwaalo ki Dilli ko ab BJP sarkaar chahiye," concentrating on the pollution in River Yamuna, just before the February 5 Assembly elections.

The anthem emphasizes the crucial issues confronting Delhi's residents, such as pollution, unsafe drinking water, inadequate waste management, sewage challenges, and overflowing landfills.

This campaign song illustrates the BJP's aspirations for Delhi, highlighting how the party has "transformed the country" and now intends to achieve similar advancements in the capital.

It also portrays the BJP as the "Sanatan ke Rakshak," drawing comparisons between the restoration of Gujarat's Sabarmati River and the party's commitment to cleansing River Yamuna.

In an interview with IANS, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari remarked, "The effects of our manifesto are evident in Delhi. Every woman below the poverty line will receive Rs 2,500 per month. Families of these women will also receive LPG cylinders at Rs 500, regardless of market prices."

"Even underprivileged citizens will gain access to high-quality medical care akin to the affluent. Senior citizens over 70, whether they are poor, middle-class, or wealthy, will have their health prioritized," he stated, adding that the BJP's anthem also promotes a "double-engine government" in Delhi, pledging universal health insurance if elected.

"A welfare board will be established for auto-rickshaw drivers, e-rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers, domestic workers, and women employed as house helps," Tiwari continued.

Describing the party's communication strategy, he stated, "We are sharing our promises via our campaign songs, which is why we launched the fifth song today. It will assist us in conveying our manifesto to the public."

In response to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's correspondence to the Election Commission, where he demanded strict measures against police and BJP personnel purportedly involved in assaults on AAP volunteers in the New Delhi Assembly region, Tiwari dismissed the claims as "falsehoods."

"Wherever we campaign, AAP's goons cause disturbances. Our candidate from Ghonda, Ajay Mahawar, has already lodged a complaint regarding AAP members interrupting meetings. Kejriwal never addresses this. He only disseminates falsehoods," Tiwari alleged.

Tiwari also commended the Income Tax relief declared in the Union Budget 2025, stating its effects will be most prominent in Delhi, especially for salaried workers.

"Individuals earning up to Rs 12 lakh per year no longer need to stress about taxes. Previously, TDS was applicable on rental income exceeding Rs 2.4 lakh, but now it only applies to sums above Rs 6 lakh. This will motivate people to invest and initiate small businesses," he expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for offering relief to the middle class.

The voting for the Delhi Assembly elections is set for February 5, with the counting occurring on February 8.
