The victim’s family, originally from Nepal, had a member working as a security guard in a building that is currently under construction. They resided on the ground floor of the same building, which housed two children.

The tragic event transpired around 7:30 p.m. on a Monday evening when the girl’s father was at work and her mother had gone to retrieve firewood from the fourth floor. At the time, the girl was playing on the first floor within the jurisdiction of the Rammurthynagar police station.
