New Delhi, Jan 20 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and Minister Dilip Jaiswal expressed their support for the appointment of Nitin Nabin as the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), referring to it as "a fresh start" aimed at realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Sinha highlighted the party's commitment to youth leadership, stating in an interview with IANS, "Clearly, the youth across the nation are thrilled and honored. The collective leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party has made a united decision to elevate a youth to the role of national president to inspire its young members."

Jaiswal shared similar views, remarking to IANS, "There is palpable enthusiasm among the youth nationwide. The BJP's new leadership will propel the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, fueled by youthful vigor."

BJP MP Anurag Thakur also congratulated Nabin, noting, "At just 45 years of age, he has ascended to the presidency of the world’s largest political party after a distinguished career as a five-time MLA and former minister."

Earlier, Nabin, currently the National Working President of the BJP, visited several religious sites to offer his prayers before officially taking office. His first stop was the Jhandewalan Temple, followed by the Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place and the Prachin Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir at Mandir Marg, near Gol Market. He concluded his religious visits at the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara to seek blessings ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.

Outside the BJP headquarters, festivities are in full swing, with the building adorned for the arrival of the new National President. Enhanced security measures have been implemented to ensure a seamless event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior party officials, is set to attend the ceremony, which is expected to draw participation from BJP Chief Ministers, national office bearers, state unit presidents, and members of the party’s national executive committee, underscoring the importance of this leadership transition.

The BJP officially announced Nitin Nabin as the sole candidate for National President, following a nomination and scrutiny process that revealed no other contenders, leading to his unopposed election as the party's 12th national chief.

Nabin, who was appointed as National Working President on December 14 of the previous year, has garnered substantial support from the BJP's top brass, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and outgoing party President J.P. Nadda.
