Kolkata, June 5 (NationPress) The BJP's West Bengal unit is gearing up for a distinctive campaigning approach to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Modi-led NDA government at the Centre, which falls on June 9.
A member of the state committee revealed that the campaign will involve extensive propaganda juxtaposing the achievements of the Modi administration over the past 11 years since 2014 with the perceived ‘failures’ of the Mamata Banerjee-led and Trinamool Congress-governed state over the last 14 years since 2011.
“This distinctive comparative campaign is set to launch on June 9 and will continue for at least the next two weeks.
“In addition to leveraging social media, our party members will engage in comprehensive outreach programs across the state, clarifying the performance differences between the two administrations,” the committee member stated.
He further elaborated that BJP activists will inform the public about how widespread corruption among Trinamool Congress leaders has hampered access to essential services under various centrally-sponsored initiatives.
“We will also underscore that the people of the state have been denied free medical treatment across India due to the state government's refusal to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme here,” he added.
To recall, during a political rally in the Alipurduar district on May 29, the Prime Minister explicitly pointed out the state government's non-implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
“Since the residents of West Bengal cannot access the benefits of Ayushman Bharat, they are deprived of free treatment when they seek care in other states. Many in Bengal could have also benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but this insensitive government has obstructed that as well,” the Prime Minister emphasized last week while discussing five critical challenges that West Bengal currently faces under Trinamool Congress rule.
With Assembly elections on the horizon early next year, the Prime Minister has already set the strategic tone for his party's campaign through his recent address in Alipurduar.
