New Delhi, March 24 (NationPress) The Delhi Budget 2025-26 is scheduled to be presented in the Assembly on March 25, marking a crucial moment for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration, which has reclaimed power in the national capital after a gap of 27 years.
In anticipation of the budget session, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other ministers prepared kheer during the traditional "kheer ceremony" at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, representing prosperity and auspiciousness. BJP leaders have characterized this budget as a pivotal move towards a "Viksit Delhi", vowing to enhance economic development, ensure transparency, and address the recovery of misused funds.
BJP MLA Ravinder Singh Negi underscored the responsibility and effectiveness that this budget seeks to introduce. “I am confident this will be an exceptional budget, as Delhi now boasts a double-engine government. It will be a historic budget, guaranteeing that every rupee earned by the people of Delhi, which was previously misallocated, will now be retrieved from prior administrations,” he expressed.
In agreement, BJP MLA Sanjay Goyal stated, “The journey toward a 'Viksit Delhi' will commence with this budget, which our Chief Minister will unveil in the House tomorrow. Today, it is being launched with a kheer ceremony.” This ceremonial initiation is perceived as a symbol of prosperity and wellness.
BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay connected the budget to a broader vision of a developed nation. “Prosperous days are on the horizon for Delhi. After 27 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party has regained power.
