Jaipur, March 13 (NationPress) A significant fire erupted early Thursday morning in a fan belt warehouse located near Road No. 12 within the Murlipura police station jurisdiction. The fire was first detected by Circle Inspector Virendra Kuril, who was on night patrol.

Upon alerting the authorities, he swiftly arrived at the scene with his police team.

Over 30 fire engines have been dispatched and are actively engaged in efforts to extinguish the blaze.

According to CI Kuril, the fire brigade was promptly notified, and emergency response teams promptly reached the site.

The fire initiated in a warehouse located on the first floor of a building that also houses a UCO Bank branch.

As a precautionary measure, authorities quickly evacuated residents from the surrounding vicinity.

"Upon receiving the information, fire brigade vehicles arrived on the scene, and efforts are ongoing to control the fire. More than 30 fire brigade vehicles have been deployed. Currently, the fire remains uncontrolled. The fan belt warehouse is situated above UCO Bank, causing significant chaos due to the intense blaze," officials reported.

Numerous senior police officials were also present at the location, and traffic has been redirected on both sides.

To ensure public safety, the power supply in the surrounding area has been cut off, and the affected region has been cordoned off.

The fierce blaze triggered panic among local residents, but officials managed to calm the situation by advising people to evacuate the area.

Traffic towards the incident site has also been rerouted to facilitate firefighting efforts.

Efforts to extinguish the flames remain ongoing, according to officials.

It is worth noting that just a few months ago, a devastating inferno led to the tragic loss of 21 lives when a tanker carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) caught fire after colliding with a truck during a U-turn on the highway.

This fire rapidly spread over a 300-meter stretch of road, engulfing around three dozen vehicles in flames.

Many individuals were tragically burned alive in the incident, while several others sustained injuries and are still receiving medical treatment.
