Jaipur, May 20 (NationPress) The administrative framework of Rajasthan was put on high alert on Tuesday as collectorates in Sikar, Pali, Bhilwara, and Dausa received alarming email threats asserting that explosives had been deployed within their premises.
The Sikar Collectorate received the threat just moments before a vital meeting led by the Chief Secretary.
In response, officials swiftly evacuated the building and relocated the meeting to the Police Lines auditorium.
A thorough sweep of the complex is being conducted by police, administrative personnel, and a bomb-detection unit, while security measures have been bolstered throughout the district.
Similarly, the Pali District Collector’s office received an ominous email stating that a bomb would “detonate the premises.”
The police promptly evacuated the building and called in bomb-disposal experts and dog units from Jodhpur. The surrounding area has been cordoned off.
The Bhilwara Collectorate also received an identical threat. The administration took precautionary measures by evacuating staff, prohibiting public access, and bringing in a bomb squad from Ajmer.
A high-alert protocol is now active across the district.
In Dausa, Collector Devendra Kumar informed Superintendent of Police Sagar Rana after his office received a similar email.
Authorities, including civil defense teams and police, are meticulously searching the premises while employees anxiously await outside.
Cyber-crime units across all four districts are working to trace the origin of these emails; however, the sender has yet to be identified.
Officials have indicated that this incident is being taken with utmost seriousness, as prior bomb hoaxes have disrupted government operations in the state.
Authorities are advising the public to stay clear of the affected collectorates until the security evaluations are completed.
Notably, on May 14, Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium also received a bomb threat.
The email, directed to the official account of the Rajasthan Sports Council, bore the subject line 'HMX Bomb Blast Sawai Mansingh Stadium Operation Prabhakar Divij', and included an unsettling message stating, “Don't mess with Pakistan. We have sleeper cells in India. Your hospitals will also be blown up for Operation Sindoor.”
