New Delhi, Feb 1 (NationPress) The Union Budget 2025-26 is well-balanced, inclusive, and aims to create a healthier and more resilient India, stated Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda on Saturday.

The Union Budget was presented in Parliament today by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

"This budget is centered around enhancing healthcare access, infrastructure, and research, showcasing the government’s dedication to fostering a healthier and more resilient India," J. P. Nadda expressed in a social media post on platform X.

He further emphasized, "The budget introduced today is balanced, inclusive, and advocates development. It will expedite the journey towards a 'Developed India,'" highlighting the focus on the poor, farmers, and the middle class.

"Special attention has been granted to the welfare of the poor, farmers, and the middle class. This inclusive and welfare-oriented Budget will honor the underprivileged and also support the empowerment of women alongside the upliftment of the middle class," he noted.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel remarked that the Union Budget 2025-26 is historic and will contribute to making India prosperous and strong.

"This historic budget is a step towards a prosperous and strong India," she stated in a post on social media platform X.

Highlighting the announcements as progressive, the MoS remarked that it will further fortify the resolve of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

In the healthcare domain, the budget promises 200 cancer day-care centers and tax relief on medicines and medical devices. This budget is a significant stride towards 'Developed India – 2047!,' the MoS remarked.

Furthermore, the Budget 2025-26 makes notable investments in healthcare, allocating Rs 99,858.56 Crore to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, marking a 191 percent increase from the 2014-15 budget.

In 2014-15, the allocation was Rs 34,286 crore.

The increased budget for health signifies the government’s commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of every citizen, the health ministry stated on X.

"The Union Budget also extends support to gig workers. By registering on the e-Shram portal, gig workers will gain access to healthcare schemes under PM Jan Arogya Yojana, benefiting nearly 1 crore workers," the ministry added.
