Posting in Odia on X, Pradhan stated: 'ପାରାଦୀପ-ହରିଦାସପୁର ରେଳ ଲାଇନର ଦୋହରୀକରଣ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ' (the Paradip–Haridaspur rail line doubling project) had received central cabinet clearance. He noted that the project would boost rail traffic capacity on the Haridaspur–Paradip section, easing the movement of both passenger and freight trains. The minister highlighted that the initiative would give 'new momentum' to import-export traffic and domestic coastal cargo passing through Paradip Port, helping the port achieve its cargo targets.

Pradhan also invoked Prime Minister Modi's 'Purvodaya' mission — a government initiative aimed at the accelerated development of eastern Indian states — framing the rail doubling as integral to that broader regional development agenda.
