New Delhi, Feb 28 (NationPress) The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report addressing 'Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health Services in Delhi' is scheduled for presentation in the Assembly this Friday.

BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa asserted that this report will reveal yet another extensive fraud, akin to the liquor policy scandal.

"Today, a new CAG report on Arvind Kejriwal’s alleged scam will be discussed in the Delhi Assembly. This report will shed light on how Kejriwal exploited Delhi under the pretense of hospital and healthcare services. An excess of Rs 350 crore was spent beyond the designated budget, which was directly embezzled through corruption," stated Sirsa.

"Even the Mohalla Clinics, which were touted as world-class, lacked basic amenities like electricity, yet rent payments were made for them. This was nothing more than a meticulously orchestrated scam to exploit Delhi. The CAG report will uncover Kejriwal’s true character and confirm that he is a corrupt leader," he continued.

BJP leader Satish Upadhyay also condemned the AAP government, alleging widespread financial mismanagement within the healthcare sector.

In a conversation with IANS, Upadhyay commented, "For the last eleven years, the AAP government has been embroiled in numerous scams. Previously, the CAG’s liquor policy report was discussed, but many reports were never presented in the Assembly. Now, with the healthcare sector report, it will become clear how AAP leaders engaged in financial misconduct concerning hospitals, Mohalla Clinics, diagnostic labs, and medicine procurement."

He continued, "The AAP government consistently prioritized the interests of its associates while disregarding regulations. Public funds were misappropriated through various schemes, and this report will highlight those discrepancies."

Reflecting on the Mohalla Clinics, Upadhyay remarked, "AAP promoted them as elite healthcare facilities, but in truth, they were missing even fundamental provisions like toilets and X-ray machines. Many clinics either lacked doctors or medications, raising serious concerns about healthcare provision in Delhi."

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who also leads the Finance Department, will present the report, which is expected to reveal substantial deficiencies in healthcare services. Sources suggest that this is the second CAG report to be introduced in the Assembly, following the earlier one addressing the liquor policy.
