New Delhi, Feb 25 (NationPress) In anticipation of the CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) report presentation in the Delhi Assembly, BJP lawmakers on Tuesday lambasted the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration and its national leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of concealing corruption over the years.
BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa asserted, "The scandals orchestrated by Arvind Kejriwal will soon be unveiled. The corruption he has kept under wraps for three years by neglecting the CAG report will finally emerge."
BJP MLA Harish Khurana stressed, "It is the constitutional duty of the Delhi government to present the CAG report. Regrettably, the administration of Atishi and Arvind Kejriwal has consistently disrespected the Constitution. However, under the governance of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the report will be tabled as per constitutional requirements."
Ajay Mahawar pointed to the mismanagement of Kejriwal’s government, stating, "For ten years, the citizens of Delhi regarded them as heroes and leaders. It was their responsibility to present the CAG report at that time. Now, Arvind Kejriwal, who spoke of transparency, is evading accountability. What corruption is he trying to hide?"
BJP MLA Raj Kumar Bhatia mentioned that the CAG report will be presented following the address by the Lieutenant Governor.
"Today's agenda includes the address from the Honorable Lt. Governor, which must be presented before the CAG report," Bhatia remarked.
MLA Gajendra Yadav accused the opposition of attempting to obstruct the presentation of the report.
"The opposition's actions yesterday were inappropriate. Their primary goal was to hinder the CAG report from being tabled in the house, which is why all their actions were premeditated," Yadav stated.
BJP MLA Poonam Sharma predicted that the CAG report would expose the financial crimes committed during the Kejriwal administration.
"The CAG report will be unveiled today, revealing the scandals that have persisted over the last 10 to 11 years. Today, they will be disclosed to the people of Delhi, and you can see their anxiety clearly. That is why they began causing disturbances since yesterday," she commented.
