Chandrababu Naidu Set to Participate in NDA Meeting in Delhi Tomorrow

Amaravati, Dec 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, traveled to Delhi on Tuesday for a crucial meeting with the senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) scheduled for Wednesday.

Naidu, who leads the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a significant partner in the BJP-led NDA administration at the national level, will participate in discussions at the residence of BJP President J.P. Nadda.

On the morning of the meeting, Naidu is set to pay his respects to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Samadhi, coinciding with the celebration of his birth anniversary.

This NDA gathering aligns with the commemoration of the 100th birth anniversary of the late PM Vajpayee.

The TDP Chief is also anticipated to hold private consultations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to address issues specific to Andhra Pradesh.

The significance of the NDA meeting is heightened due to recent controversies, particularly concerning Amit Shah's statements regarding Bharat Ratna B. R. Ambedkar and the ensuing outcry for his resignation from opposition parties.

During the meeting, NDA leaders are expected to strategize on countering opposition attacks.

The ruling NDA plans to leverage the presence of Chandrababu Naidu alongside Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to present a robust rebuttal to the Congress party and its allies.

In the recent Winter session of Parliament, Amit Shah made comments about Ambedkar during discussions commemorating 75 years of the Constitution.

Opposition parties have labeled his remarks as 'derogatory and shameful' and are insisting on his resignation.

The Congress and its allies have also called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dismiss Amit Shah from his ministerial position.

The agenda of the meeting will likely also include efforts to improve coordination among NDA partners.

Alliance leaders are expected to formulate a unified approach to key legislations, such as 'One Nation One Election' and the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, both of which have been submitted to the Joint Parliamentary Panel.
