New Delhi, Feb 1 (NationPress) Ujjwal Deepak, a BJP leader from Chhattisgarh, praised the series of announcements in the Union Budget 2025-26, calling it "historic" and specifically aimed at the common man.

In an interview with IANS, he stated, "This is a historical budget, tailored for the common man, government employees, and everyone contributing to the nation’s economy. The Union Budget is devoted to every ordinary citizen."

During her eighth consecutive Budget presentation, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman revealed a revised tax slab structure that is expected to significantly benefit taxpayers, positively affecting both the common man and the overall economy.

Ujjwala Deepak remarked, "Just yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sentiments regarding the struggles of poor and middle-class families, and now, the aspirations of the people have been met with substantial announcements in the Union Budget."

The new tax structure exempts individuals earning up to Rs 12 lakh from taxes and allows salaried individuals to earn up to Rs 12.75 lakh tax-free, thanks to a standard deduction of Rs 75,000.

“With such a significant announcement that eliminates taxes for incomes up to Rs 12 lakh, happiness is widespread among the populace. Under PM Modi's leadership, this Budget aims to uplift poor people, women, youth, and farmers," he noted.

He added that the Budget has been crafted to address the needs of all these groups while providing growth opportunities for startups.

"This is a Budget for farmers, a Budget for the poor, and a Budget for women; it is truly an inclusive budget," he concluded.
