Chief Minister Yadav Unveils Over Rs 5000 Crore Development Initiatives for Mauganj

Bhopal, Dec 14 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared on Saturday that projects totaling over Rs 5,000 crore have been earmarked for Mauganj district under the 'Jan Kalyan Parv'.

During his inaugural visit to the newly established district, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Sitapur-Hanumana Lift Irrigation Project, which is valued at Rs 5,041 crore.

This initiative aims to enhance irrigation services for more than 400 villages in Mauganj, which was officially separated from Rewa and designated as a new district ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections.

Additionally, he shared plans to elevate Khatkhari (a town within Mauganj district) to the status of a Municipal Council and announced the construction of a stadium in Devtalab (one of the three Assembly constituencies in Mauganj).

The Chief Minister also revealed plans to set up a degree college and a civil hospital in Hanumana Tehsil, along with allocating Rs 5 crore for developmental projects at the Shiva temple in Devtalab.

While addressing attendees at the event, the Chief Minister stated that under the Jan Kalyan Parv, an ambitious action plan for development works worth Rs 16,100 crore has been devised for the entire state.

“Out of this, Mauganj district has been gifted Rs 5,041 crore. The BJP government has designated Mauganj as a separate district, and we are dedicated to delivering on our commitments to the populace. All requests from Mauganj district will be addressed,” emphasized the Chief Minister.

In addition, he launched Rs 332 crore as the initial installment of scholarships for 60 lakh students across the state.

Furthermore, he inaugurated the Sarsi Island Resort, developed by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department in Shahdol district.

Situated in the center of the Son River, the Sarsi Island Resort is entirely encircled by water and is accessible exclusively via boat services from Itma Ghat and Markandeya Ghat.
