New Delhi, May 11 (NationPress) Former Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) S. P. Vaid launched a harsh critique against China on Sunday, labeling it the most hypocritical country globally and accusing it of hindering international efforts to combat terrorism.
"There is no nation on Earth more hypocritical than China. By supporting Pakistan, it effectively backs Terroristan. Aligning with Terroristan means you are siding with terrorists," Vaid asserted in a pointed declaration.
He urged that Indian diplomats must candidly convey this reality to the world without reservation. "This is the truth," he emphasized.
Vaid condemned China's consistent obstruction of global anti-terrorism initiatives, referencing instances where Beijing repeatedly thwarted UN resolutions aimed at designating individuals from Pakistan as global terrorists.
"China nurtures terrorism everywhere, whether in Pakistan or Iran. How many times has it intervened to block resolutions aimed at designating global terrorists, always stepping in to shield Pakistan? India must unveil China's actions to the global community. While it may hold a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, moral character surpasses status," he remarked.
He continued, "China holds no genuine value as a permanent member if it continues to protect terrorists. India must effectively present evidence of China's actions to the world and unequivocally label it a ‘rogue state’ and a ‘dictatorship.’ This clarity and confidence must be our stance."
These remarks occurred shortly after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated Beijing's support for Pakistan's sovereignty during a call with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. This statement emerged amid rising tensions following reported drone sightings in Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat.
Vaid expressed optimism regarding the Indian leadership's diplomatic approach. “I am confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the need for Pakistan to cease its terrorism-based statecraft. India likely secured assurances from the United States," he stated.
Referring to a recent government warning that "any act of terrorism will be regarded as an act of war," Vaid suggested this statement stemmed from significant diplomatic negotiations.
"There are numerous facts unknown to the public, but our leadership is informed. In international diplomacy, various factors are considered. I trust that our leadership, particularly the Prime Minister, has acted in India’s best interests," he remarked.
Vaid cautioned that without Pakistan altering its longstanding strategy of using terrorism as state policy, ceasefire agreements would be futile.
"If Pakistan does not modify its approach, there will inevitably be another incident, another ceasefire violation, and another attack. What purpose do such agreements serve?" he questioned.
He stressed that Pakistan must dismantle its terror infrastructure. "Terrorists must be dismantled, and camps must be closed. Their Defence Minister even referred to madrasa children as their second line of defense. This self-destructive policy must cease. India does not aim to dismantle Pakistan, but it may crumble under the weight of its own actions," he stated.
