New Delhi, Sep 14 (NationPress) Former Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police S.P. Vaid has launched a scathing attack on Pakistan’s governance, criticizing the allocation of public development funds to reconstruct a terror headquarters instead of assisting its impoverished population. He staunchly supported India's position on its sporting relations with Pakistan.
“The citizens of Pakistan must recognize that the military government should prioritize constructing homes for the underprivileged and providing essential relief. Instead, they are diverting funds to rebuild a terrorist headquarters. Reports indicate that the reconstruction, which was destroyed by India during Operation Sindoor on May 7, carries a price tag of Rs 15 crore, with Rs 4 crore sourced from the Pakistani government. It is utterly disgraceful. This money ought to have been allocated to help ordinary citizens build their homes,” he stated.
Vaid did not shy away from calling out the hypocrisy of Pakistan's leadership.
“You are soliciting funds in the name of constructing homes for the poor, yet utilizing those resources to erect a headquarters in Muridke. The populace of Pakistan needs to scrutinize how their government is spending money to reconstruct a terror headquarters,” he remarked.
He also highlighted the social and moral contradictions:
“I noticed on social media that Asim Munir, who preaches about Jihad, religion, and Islam, has his wife frequenting a hookah bar. This exemplifies the hypocrisy of Pakistan Army generals. Jihad is meant for the children of the impoverished... Their own offspring study abroad while they construct lavish homes in the West. This is the true nature of the Jihad propagated in Pakistan, which is only for the less fortunate.”
In light of the upcoming India-Pakistan Asia Cup match, Vaid endorsed the government's decision to limit bilateral friendly matches while still participating in tournaments.
“I believe the Central government has made the right decision to avoid bilateral matches between India and Pakistan... My only request to Indian players is to refrain from forming friendships with them. ... And I urge spectators to not boycott these matches. ... Participation is crucial,” he added.
The match between India and Pakistan is set to occur in Dubai, soon after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, where the Indian Army acted to neutralize the terrorists involved. Scheduled for 8:00 p.m. IST in Dubai, this match transcends mere cricket; it symbolizes a wave of national sentiment across India.
