New Delhi, April 12 (NationPress) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) held a poignant ceremony on Saturday to honor 127 personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. Director General of CISF, Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, chaired the special event at the CISF Headquarters in New Delhi, where he personally recognized the families of these brave individuals.
During his speech, the DG commended their bravery, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment, as stated by an official.
This event underscored CISF's unwavering dedication to national security and acknowledged the profound sacrifices made by its members to defend the nation's integrity. The force currently boasts over 188,000 personnel.
Earlier, Praveer Ranjan, SDG (APS), along with senior CISF officials and personnel, paid floral tributes to the fallen heroes at the Central Sculpture, located at the National Police Memorial.
The families of CISF heroes also visited the ‘Wall of Valour’, which features the names of all CAPF and Police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice etched in stone.
The event included a performance by the CISF band, attended by CISF officers, personnel, and family members from various units in the Delhi-NCR region.

The CISF currently provides security for 359 establishments across the country, including a dedicated Fire Wing that serves 115 of these sites.
The CISF security umbrella encompasses some of India’s most critical infrastructure, including nuclear facilities, space installations, airports, seaports, and power plants. Additionally, it safeguards important government buildings, iconic heritage sites, the Delhi Metro, the Parliament House Complex, and the Central Jails of Jammu and Kashmir.
