CISF Launches Innovative HR Policy to Prepare Force for the Future

New Delhi, Dec 23 (NationPress) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has rolled out a groundbreaking human resources policy designed to cultivate personnel as domain experts in cyber security, data science, aviation security, anti-drone solutions, weapons and tactics, and fire management.
This new HR policy replaces the 2017 version and motivates force members to acquire new skills, technology, and knowledge.
It is expected to influence over 98 percent of the force members (from a total sanctioned strength of 194,053) throughout their service span of nearly 38 years, as stated in an official announcement.
According to the new HR framework, a pool of domain experts will be established within the CISF, who will receive training from leading institutions and will be responsible for creating and executing world-class security solutions.
“International security benchmarks in various sectors, such as aviation and port security, will be identified to guarantee elite security solutions. An initial step has been taken by establishing the Internal Quality Control Unit within the aviation sector, which will ensure that new aviation technologies and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) security standards are integrated into airport security operations,” the statement elaborated.
Emphasizing specialized skills, training for instructors, SSG personnel, K9 experts, bandsmen, and sports personnel will undergo a thorough selection process and annual performance evaluations to enhance training quality, as mentioned.
In a historic move, the CISF is introducing choice-based postings for the first time. Each member will have the chance to specify 10 preferred posting locations, empowering them in decisions that significantly impact their lives and families.
For those set to retire within two years, the CISF is offering a choice of three posting locations. “They will be prioritized during the allocation of vacancies when posting orders are issued. This initiative will assist in planning for their children's marriages and post-retirement arrangements,” the statement noted.
Continuing its commitment to support women and couples, the CISF HR policy places significant emphasis on addressing the work-life balance needs of female personnel, particularly those who are single-handedly managing family responsibilities.
“After six years of non-choice postings, their remaining tenure will allow for choice postings. Working couples can now more easily be stationed in the same location through more considerate posting decisions. The goal is to foster a more resilient and content force,” the CISF concluded.
The Central Industrial Security Force is a central armed police organization in India operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, with a primary mission to ensure security for large institutions, whether state-owned or private.
