New Delhi, Jan 14 (NationPress) The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has authorized the creation of two new battalions within the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), resulting in job openings for 2,000 individuals, as reported by an official on Tuesday.

This initiative is set to enhance the CISF's capabilities, bolster national security, and provide new employment prospects for over 2,000 individuals, raising the total strength of the force to 200,000.

The MHA's endorsement permits the formation of two battalions, each consisting of 1,025 personnel across various ranks. Consequently, the total number of CISF battalions will increase from 13 to 15. Each newly established battalion will be commanded by a Senior Commandant.

These battalions will be instrumental in addressing the growing demands on the CISF by generating a trained workforce to meet immediate induction needs related to internal security, according to an official announcement.

The reserve battalions will be comprised of specially trained personnel adept at managing the security of high-security prisons and other critical operations.

Additionally, the new battalions will significantly enhance the CISF's rapid response capabilities during emergencies. The presence of dedicated reserve units, fully equipped with transportation resources and adequate weaponry, will allow for quicker deployment and more effective handling of urgent situations, thereby improving public safety.

Furthermore, the CISF aims to adopt global standards in airport security by setting up an Internal Quality Control Unit (IQCU) for the Aviation Security Group (ASG) assigned to 68 airports across India.

The IQCU will be pivotal in strengthening aviation security by establishing top-notch security protocols and integrating advanced technologies.

Led by a senior CISF officer, the IQCU will comprise certified Aviation Security instructors, national auditors, and experienced personnel tasked with standardizing procedures and promoting consistency in security measures across all airports through uniform training and evaluation techniques.
